The Philippine culinary scene has officially earned its global spotlight with the inaugural Michelin Guide Selection for 2026, covering Manila, its vicinity, and Cebu. This historic debut sees nine local restaurants awarded the coveted Michelin Star rating, a monumental recognition of the nation's cuisine excellence.

Leading the list is Helm by Chef Josh Boutwood, which secured a remarkable Two Michelin Stars which is the highest honor in the country's first guide. Known for its boundary-breaking and tasty menus, Helm has set a new benchmark for fine dining in the country.

Eight other establishments were each awarded One Michelin Star for their high-quality cooking. These include:

  1. Asador Alfonso
  2. Celera
  3. Gallery by Chele (which also received the Green Star for sustainability)
  4. Hapag
  5. Inatô
  6. Kasa Palma
  7. Linamnam
  8. Toyo Eatery

The awardees celebrate a diverse range of cuisines, with several championing modern and authentic Filipino fare, such as Hapag, Linamnam, and Toyo Eatery, while others explore creative and contemporary Asian or Spanish concepts. This milestone validates the depth and innovation of Filipino talent, officially cementing the Philippines as a rising star on the world's culinary map.
