Coffee Break – Episode 73: Nov. 2, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31 as Special Working days

October 22, 2021

  • Under the new proclamation, All Soul’s Day (Nov. 2), Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), and Last Day of the Year (Dec. 31) were changed to special working holiday. This revision aims to minimize work disruption and boost economic activity amid the pandemic. Do you agree with this decision?

In this episode of Coffee Break, DJs Chloe and Shai shared their thoughts on the topic where they are somehow ‘against’ on the revised holidays. For Chloe, December 24 and 31 are considered busy dates for parents. For Shai, she thinks that these dates are what people are looking forward because it is their time off from work. But if it’s a double pay, then it becomes a little acceptable. Meanwhile, Shai and Chloe are okay with November 2 being a special working holiday. Chloe believes that you can visit your departed loved ones anytime of the year.

To cap off their conversation, Shai said people want to enjoy the holidays properly. “It’s so difficult for you to be at work while worrying for the preparations,” she added.
