My name is Patricia, 26, an account executive of a major telecommunications provider in the country.

Last February 2016, I went to Puerto Galera to take a break from all the stress from work and also, to get away from chaotic month of love (Haha! FYI I’m not bitter).

I took a bus ride from Alabang to Batangas Port and took a ferry ride from Batangas Port to Calapan Port.

As soon as I arrived in Calapan, Mindoro, I went to Pards’ Litson Manok at Tsibugan to try out their famous litson manok and carabao steak.

The food is affordable and will surely satisfy your heart’s content.

Now that I’m full, it’s time to hit the beach!

Puerto Galera will always be filled with tourists. That is why, I didn’t go to the places that people mostly talk about. In fact, I went there to find two of Puerto Galera’s hidden paradise.

    First is Bulabod Beach.

This hidden treasure of Puerto Galera located in Barangay Dulangan, about 500 meters away from the road to Calapan and a 2 hour drive from the main beaches of Puerto Galera.

The beach is an ideal hide-away where one can communicate with Mother Nature while relaxing or taking a dip in a cool spring or in a soothing sea water.

The shores in this beach is characterized by small pebbles that walking on its shore would make you feel like you are walking on an aquarium.

Also, since the beach is facing an open sea, the waves here are much bigger compared to other beaches in Puerto Galera.

    Second is Infinity Falls.

The Infinity River is located in Baco, Oriental Mindoro. A 3-hour drive from Puerto Galera. Nature-lovers will surely fall in love with place because this of the beautiful rocks, huge trees, butterflies flying around and its clear crystalline and fresh water from the mountain tops.

The water from the falls is cold as ice! Tourists even put their soft drinks into the river and leave it there for a few minutes.

Now that was just only two of the many paradise in Puerto Galera. Just imagine if I stayed there for a few weeks, I could’ve explored the whole Oriental Mindoro!

I will no longer ask why Puerto Galera is one of the wonders of the world, it is just truly wonderful! It is definitely worth it and for sure you’ll be coming back for more.
