The Philippine Coast Guard and LRT – Line 2 is giving free rides for students

For almost 2 years, students have been used to the virtual learning set up that “Going to school” means getting up the bed and facing their computers. Now that majority of the people are vaccinated for COVID-19, we may be on our way to getting our normal lives back.
It has been “normal” since last year for commuting working individuals, so for students going back to school, here’s a tip on how you can save a lot of your “baon” because lucky you, the Philippine Coast Guard and the Light Rail Transit Line 2 is giving FREE RIDES TO STUDENTS. Yes, you read that right!
The Philippine Coast Guard or PCG is giving free bus rides to students traveling from the Quezon City Hall to the University Belt in España to Luneta park and back. The bus can also pickup students along the route. The free ride program starts at six to nine in the morning and four to seven in the afternoon.
You might be wondering, what if your school does not reside along the bus stops?
Well, if you are a train commuter who studies at schools residing from Recto to Santolan stations, then worry no more because LRT – Line 2 also have free rides for students from pre-school to college level, that started on August 22 and would go until November 5 of this year.
There will be separate ticketing booths for students taking the free rides, they just have to present their school identification and/or school registration forms to obtain their free ride. There will also be a gate reserved for students, separating them from the other commuters.So, students, make the most out of it by having these free rides courtesy of the PCG and LRT- Line 2, enjoy your journey in becoming what you want to be in the future, while saving a lot of money during these times of crisis.
