How Millennials Are Changing Travel
May 17, 2017
Before, traveling was only considered as a luxury but in today’s rise of social media, traveling is now a necessity, all thanks to social media.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social networking sites have changed our perception on how we should travel. It pressures someone into travelling even if they’re on #PDP (Petsa de Peligro).
Millennials travel for the sake of their ‘#travelgoals’. People tend to forgot the real of essence or the deeper meaning behind traveling. Snap there, snap here and snap over there and forgetting to enjoy the moment just for the sake they have something to post online.
It’s like, “No Money, No Problem”, just for the sake he/she can post something on social media because if you have no #travelgoals, people may tend to think that you can afford to travel, you’re boring and you’re out of the trend.
Millennials are literally going all out with their money just to travel. They forget to pay bills, borrow money from their parents or friends because they simply can’t resist the urge of traveling just to maintain their image as a ‘wanderer’.
Here’s another point, they tend to think that traveling is the answer to their problems. Let’s be honest with this one, traveling will really not solve your problems. It may help you realize some things but it will definitely not be the answer you’re looking for.
But, let me ask you something. Why do you should travel? Before, traveling used to be about getting lost fueled by curiosity. Here’s something you need to realize, forget about social media in a while and immerse yourself in the moment.
Disconnect, wonder and get lost. That is the real essence of traveling.
