LTO provides portal for online renewal

  • The Land Transportation Office (LTO) updated the LTMS portal to accommodate private vehicles registration renewal last Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023.

Ideally, it should take only 10 minutes to renew your vehicle once you’re in the system.

However, the renewal process isn’t as simple as logging in to the LTMS portal account. You still have to do the necessary checks before your car can be renewed, meaning, you still have to physically line up to their offices to collect requirements.

The online process will only apply to those who have a registered portal account, and whose last renewal transaction was completed using the LTMS.

Also note that you should be the registered owner of the vehicle under the Certificate of Registration.

Make sure to secure a Certificate of Coverage from a selected insurance provider and the vehicle should also need to pass a roadworthiness test from a private motor vehicle inspection center.
