This is after the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) also known as the “longest-running aviation event in Asia” found a new home in Carmona, Cavite after being cancelled in 2019 due to that the organization did not receive the commitment from their government partners on time.
Named after the northern star- Aurora, Aurora 2020 is a two-day event that will feature performances by some of the most sought bands and artists in the country. This includes Ben&Ben, December Avenue, IV of Spades, Michael Pangilinan, Unique Salonga, and many more. It will also house hot air balloon displays, food stalls, bazaars, 4×4 production race, and car shows which will be spread out in the venue to cater to the festival-goers throughout the day. The event will be highlighted by the “Night Glow” where hot air balloon displays will be lightened up when the evening comes.
The hot air balloon festival was organized by Epic Events backed by Clark Global City and Clark Development Corporation (CDC). Ticket prices range from P350 for general admission and P750 for VIP.
It will be remembered that on January 6, CDC expressed that they have not approved the conduct of any hot air balloon event inside Clark for 2020 but Visit Clark, CDC’s tourist information center, announced on February 5 that Aurora 2020 will be staged in Clark.
