Since March 2020, the country’s battle against COVID-19 is getting rougher and tougher because of the increasing number of infected persons.

Aside from the infected persons themselves, one of the most affected sectors responding to the stronger needs of the pandemic is the health sector including the doctors, nurses and other medical workers involved in treatment.

In fact, because of the alarming situation in the past weeks, several doctors and nurses association in the country had called the government for a ‘timeout’ to slightly restore the collapsing situation of healthcare facilities in the country most especially in Mega Manila. As a response to the ‘timeout’ call, the national government ordered a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

The stricter the quarantine, the tougher struggle for medical frontliners in terms of mobility in going in and out of their respective health care facilities. To respond to the transportation woes of health frontliners, several government agencies put up transport shuttles for them.
