On the recent episode of Hangover on December 4, Yes My Love showed not only their &lsquo;Don Romantiko&rsquo; side but also their fun and playful personalities.
The group shared that choosing classic love songs originally sung by female artists for their first EP was an intentional move. &ldquo;Instead of male covers, let&rsquo;s do female covers naman,&rdquo; they explained, adding that their boss was inspired by Regine Velasquez, who became a hit for flipping male songs into her own style. &ldquo;Magandang challenge siya for us because it pushed us and our producers&mdash;paano ba namin babaliin &rsquo;to while still paying respect to the original artists?&rdquo;
When asked if they wanted to change anything from their first cover EP, Brian said he wished they could have added &lsquo;Akin Ka Na Lang&rsquo; by Morissette Amon, but in a rock version. He even gave a sample during the episode.
Niko then joked, &ldquo;Ako po may gustong tanggalin, isang member,&rdquo; while looking at Brian, making everyone in the studio laugh.
Josh added that they also wanted to cover &lsquo;Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita&rsquo; by Roselle Nava.
