Urbandub is reuniting their 'classic' lineup for a special show in Cebu this August. On July 11, the iconic rock band announced that vocalist and guitarist Gabby Alipe, guitarist John Dinopol, bassist Lalay Lim, and drummer JanJan Mendoza will perform together again. The event, called ‘Sound The Alarm – The Reunion,’ will take place on August 10 at Cafe Racer in Mandaue City. Joining them will be Powerspoonz, Selah Dub Warriors, and Toothpeak.

The band had hinted at this show on June 28. Ticket details are not available yet, so fans should stay tuned for updates.

Urbandub formed in 2000 and released six rock albums. Their last album, Esoteric, came out in 2013. They took a break in 2015 after their farewell concert ‘Endless.’ During the hiatus, Alipe pursued a solo career, while Dinopol joined the hard rock band Faspitch. The duo occasionally performed as Gab and John.

In 2018, the classic lineup briefly reunited for two shows. Later that year, Alipe, Dinopol, and Lim officially returned, with Russell Manaloto on guitar and Sam Saludsong on drums. Recently, Urbandub released a vinyl version of their 2003 album Influence and re-recorded their debut album as Rebirth in 2023.
