Filipino pop-rock band, The Itchyworms, returned to Japan this October for a three-city tour across the Kansai region, bringing their music to Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe while continuing the group's growing presence in the Japanese live music scene.
The band's Kansai run began on October 4 at Panhead Groove in Osaka, where The Itchyworms represented the Philippines at the Kansai Music Conference, an international music event featuring artists from different countries.
They continued to Kyoto on October 5 for a show at MUSE, sharing the lineup with Filipino singer-songwriter Reese Lansangan and Los Angeles-based artist Ariel. The Kyoto concert was presented by Pintig Productions.
The band's Japan schedule concludes today, October 6 in Kobe, where they will perform at Live Music Club Padoma alongside Reese Lansangan. The show marks The Itchyworms' debut performance in Kobe.
Unlike a large-scale concert production, the Kansai shows feature a more stripped-down setup, with the band performing solely with instruments and focusing on their songs.
The tour shows The Itchyworms' continuing efforts to bring their music to Filipino audiences and international listeners in Japan. The band has made Japan a regular stop in its touring schedule, returning to different cities rather than limiting their performances to major hubs.
After the Kansai tour, The Itchyworms are looking to expand their Japanese performances further. The band has expressed interest in bringing their music to Okinawa, Fukuoka, and potentially Hokkaido in future visits.
The Itchyworms previously toured Osaka in 2023 and have continued returning to Japan in subsequent years. The band performed in Tokyo and Saitama before playing Nagoya the following year.
