Traveling around Metro Manila has always been exciting, but now that the EDSA-Kamuning flyover is closed for a while, it's a great time to explore new places along different roads.

Beginning April 25, the EDSA-Kamuning flyover will undergo a transformation, closing its lanes for 11 months. This initiative by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) aims to fortify the structure for potential seismic activity, preparing for what experts call the "Big One." It is a future earthquake that might hit the West Valley Fault, which runs across six cities in Metro Manila.

As the city gears up for this significant repair, motorists are advised to plan their routes meticulously. The project's phased approach, spanning four stages with 12-week durations each, will ensure minimal disruption by closing off 1.5 lanes at a time. Despite the inconvenience, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) assures commuters that traffic management strategies will be in place to mitigate the impact on daily travel.
Besides the Kapuning flyover, the DPWH is repairing other roads from April 5 to either the 10th or 11th:

<li>Roxas Boulevard Northbound Manila (between Remedios St. &amp; Pasaje del Carmen St.)</li>
<li>Roxas Boulevard EDSA Flyover Southbound Pasay (bridge approach, outer &amp; inner lane)</li>
<li>IBP &ndash; San Mateo Road Quezon City (fronting Robinson Easymart to Jollibee, 1st lane from center)</li>
<li>Luzon Avenue Southbound Quezon City (Congressional Ave. Extension to before Luzon Flyover, 1st lane from center)</li>
