<p>&ldquo;<em>The movie that started it all is coming back to the big screen, backed by the live performance of a full orchestra</em>,&rdquo; the concert promoter wrote. They added, &ldquo;<em>Relive the magic of the Skywalker Saga in Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, for the first time in the Philippines!</em>&rdquo;</p>
<p>"Star Wars: A New Hope" is the first film in the "Star Wars" series and the fourth chapter in the nine-part "Skywalker Saga." It stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher, and follows the Rebel Alliance as they attempt to destroy the Empire's Death Star.</p>
<p>The event will feature the original movie on the big screen, accompanied by live music from the Filharmonika Orchestra, conducted by Gerard Salonga, who is also the resident conductor of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra will perform John Williams' iconic score as the film plays.</p>
<p>The Filharmonika Orchestra, founded by Salonga in 2005 and restarted in 2024, will perform. Many members were part of the former ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, which Salonga led until 2020.</p>
