P-pop group SB19 has joined forces with J-pop group BE:FIRST for their new R&B track 'Toyfriend.' The song is part of SB19’s second studio album Wakas At Simula, released under Sony Music Entertainment, and showcases a blend of both groups’ unique sounds.

Even before its official promotion, “Toyfriend” has already made an impact in Japan. It reached No. 1 on MORA’s charts and topped the iTunes Japan Pop chart. The track also ranked high on Line Music, RecoChoku, and Oricon, showing strong support from Japanese fans.

The song explores the confusion of falling for someone without knowing if the feeling is mutual. SB19 member Josh Cullen Santos shared that it reflects being stuck between friendship and something more, where one can feel like a 'Toyfriend.'

Leader Pablo said the group instantly connected with the track because of its bold and slightly edgy sound. Created from scratch for both groups, the song allowed SB19 and BE:FIRST to collaborate closely and shape a sound that represents their combined style.

The collaboration began after Ken performed in Japan last year, where fans from both groups showed strong support. Despite recording in different countries, both acts worked smoothly together to create a track that feels cohesive and complete.
