Mr. Worldwide has more to add to his list of achievements, further cementing his place in the record books. During his ‘British Summer Time’ headline at London's Hyde Park last Friday, July 10th, thousands of fans rocked his signature bald look wearing bald caps.
In the days leading up to the concert, the rapper promoted the record attempt on Instagram, encouraging fans to follow the official rules to be counted. The effort paid off as 22,141 glorious ‘BALD-Es’ set the world record for ‘largest gathering of people wearing bald caps’.
‘British Summer Time’ is a major multi-day music festival held annually in London's Hyde Park. This season's headliners consist of Garth Brooks, ATEEZ, Maroon 5, Mumford & Sons, Duran Duran, Lewis Capaldi, and Pitbull. The latter, known for his fusion of reggaeton, pop, dance, and his signature rap, is best known for tracks such as “Fireball”, "Give Me Everything" and "Timber".
“I’m speechless at this point, but I can tell you this much: I say it to the Baldies all the time at the shows, when ya’ll put on them bald caps you know you’re about to have the TIME OF YOUR LIVES! And now you’re officially in the Guinness Book of World Records. Dale!” said Pitbull after being asked how it felt to be a world record holder.
