Rookie P-Pop group AZTER is officially opening a new chapter with the release of its debut album, ‘univerZity,’ now available on major digital streaming platforms.

Built around the idea of a fictional university, the seven-track project turns different stages of growing up into musical ‘lessons,’ touching on friendship, heartbreak, uncertainty, healing, and self-discovery.

The 12-member group—Kean, Charlie, Tatin, Gee, Alas, Laurence, Wayne, Loyd, Kiel, Gem, Miguel, and Cray—chose the concept to highlight the different personalities within the lineup. According to AZTER, their numbers allow each member to bring something distinct while still coming together as one team.

AZTER also contributed to the project’s creative process, including its music, visuals, concepts, and choreography. Gee alone composed three songs, while other members helped develop the performances with their coaches.

Before the album arrived, AZTER held a listening party for fans, the Twinkles, on August 15. They later performed as the opening act for Angeline Quinto’s ‘AQUIN5E’ anniversary concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 22.

Through ‘univerZity,’ AZTER aims to encourage young listeners to embrace individuality and pursue their dreams while establishing a sound that can evolve beyond trends.
