Original Pilipino Music icon Hajji Alejandro passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 70.

The news of his passing began to circulate widely after his daughter, Barni Alejandro, changed her Facebook cover photo, prompting an outpouring of condolences in the comments section.

She later posted a heartfelt rendition of one of her father's most beloved songs, ‘Ang Lahat Ng Ito’y Para Sa’yo,’ with a caption that read like a love letter to her first love—her father. "My heart is broken into a million pieces," she wrote.

Known as the ‘Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala,’ Hajji Alejandro was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer earlier this year. In February, he underwent emergency surgery and made a brief recovery, regaining his ability to speak and sing—gifts that had endeared him to generations of fans.
