NewJeans may be gearing up for a new chapter as the K-Pop girl group marked its fourth debut anniversary with a series of special films featuring Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein.
Titled ‘2026 Summer of NewJeans,’ the video series was released on the group’s official YouTube channel at midnight on July 22 in South Korea, coinciding with the anniversary of their debut. The project marks the first official content featuring the four members together in two years, following the release of their most recent album, ‘Supernatural’.
The release comes after more than two months of inactivity on the group’s social media accounts. New portraits of NewJeans members were also shared online, prompting speculation that the group could be preparing for a return to music.
The posts quickly drew significant attention, with fans expressing excitement over the possibility of new activities. At the same time, some commenters continued to show their support for Danielle, who is no longer part of the group.
NewJeans has been involved in a lengthy legal dispute with ADOR over the validity of their exclusive contracts. The members announced their contract termination in November 2024, but a Seoul court later ruled in October 2025 that their agreements with the label remained valid, prompting the five members to resume activities under ADOR the following month. In December 2025, ADOR terminated Danielle’s contract, leading to her departure from the group.
With the anniversary film series now bringing Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein back together on official content, fans are watching closely for signs of what could be next for NewJeans.
