This 22-kilometer mass transit line is set to transform daily travel, connecting North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan with 14 stations. To bring this vision to life, San Miguel Corporation has partnered with South Korea’s Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), a world-class railway operator known for running the KTX high-speed trains. KORAIL isn’t just helping build the system—they’ll also guide its day-to-day operations. From safety protocols to train maintenance, they’ll ensure MRT-7 runs smoothly and safely.

While construction has had its fair share of delays, mostly due to right-of-way issues, progress is steady. Trains are expected to be tested and running by the end of this year, with full operations targeted for 2026. By July 2025, KORAIL will officially begin its work on the ground, helping stabilize operations and transfer their know-how to local teams.
