FoodTok has done it again! The popular Indonesian sweet pancake, martabak manis, has gone viral on TikTok!
The name &ldquo;martabak&rdquo; itself is believed to come from the Arabic mutabbaq, meaning &ldquo;folded,&rdquo; pointing to historical influences from trade and cultural exchange in Southeast Asia. What really fueled its viral appeal is its sugary filling. There is an abundance of melted chocolate spead throughout or cheese stretching as slices are lifted.
