This classic musical about love and fame mixed with humor and horror finally arrives in the Philippines! Little Shop of Horrors opens its shop starting this July with our very own Manila cast, ensuring its audience entertainment, relatability, and relevance!

They started their press conference in Quezon City with a bang by giving us a show through iconic songs from the musical.&nbsp;
Titles such as "Somewhere That's Green," sung by Sue Ramirez as Audrey, followed by "Skid Row," performed by Mikee Baski&ntilde;as, Abi Sulit, Paula Paguio, and Julia Mariano as the Street Urchins.

And of course, "Suddenly Seymore," sung alternately by Sue Ramirez and Karylle Tatlonghari as Audrey, together with Nyoy Volante and Reb Atadero as Seymour.

As they sit down for the questions from the press, the director, Toff de Venecia, opens how important and sentimental this musical is to him. Toff shared that this was supposed to open in Manila way back July 2020, had it been for the pandemic. Being that Little Shop of Horrors is one of his all-time favorite musicals, it was important to him that the Filipino audience gets to witness this whimsical show.

When asked, how would they ensure that they capture the Gen Z audience with this 42-year-old show, they all gleamed widely. Reb Atadero who plays Seymour, pointed out his amusement to the Gen Z's interest in musicals today. Red is confident that this will be picked up by them because of the themes tackled in this musical.&nbsp;

Markki Stroem, who plays the dentist Orin, said that the show will surely resonate to the young generation because themes like mental health, domestic abuse, and self-love are openly talked about now. Needless to say, Little Shop of Horrors is way ahead of its time and can be considered as a timeless masterpiece!&nbsp;
Little Shop of Horrors will bloom this July 6 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater at BGC, presented by The Sandbox Collective.
