The new trailer for Joker: Folie &Agrave; Deux is out, showing more chaos in Gotham City. Joaquin Phoenix returns as &ldquo;Arthur Fleck&rdquo; (Joker&rsquo;s reel name) and global superstar Lady Gaga stars as &ldquo;Harleen Quinzel&rdquo; or &ldquo;Harley Quinn.&rdquo;
The trailer opens with Arthur in a police car, listening to radio reports about his upcoming trial. Frank Sinatra's "<a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/4v79iygQ4tRn5GDwxDEN45?si=1cfae7bd1ea84f4c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">When You're Smiling</a>" plays as he arrived at the courthouse, where fans in Joker masks call for his release. Gaga&rsquo;s Harleen Quinzel reflected on her connection with Arthur, saying, "When I first saw Joker, when I saw you, for once in my life, I didn't feel so alone anymore."
Scenes inside the Arkham Asylum show Arthur and Harleen escape a burning movie room. More so, Joker is also seen singing Stevie Wonder's "<a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/4kP69y3GKHi9tXckfgp4bK?si=96bc8524e8454712" target="_blank" rel="noopener">For Once in My Life</a>." Sinatra&rsquo;s song intensifies as Harleen told Arthur, "You can do anything you want, you're Joker."
In the courtroom, Fleck declared, "Look around, look at all these people. I will no longer allow any of you to keep me down." Later, Arthur as Joker questions, "I got this sneaking suspicion that we're not giving the people what they want." Quinzel replied, "It's okay, baby. Let's give the people what they want."
The trailer ends with chaotic scenes involving Joker and Harley, leading up to the title card, and concludes with Arthur and Harleen singing "<a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/6BOyRB1qyRlMbc4oU6niGA?si=9758f80882984809" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Get Happy</a>" by Judy Garland.

Directed by Todd Phillips, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver, the film features a score by Hildur Gu&eth;nad&oacute;ttir. The cast includes returning actors Zazie Beetz, Leigh Gill, and Sharon Washington, as well as newcomers Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Ken Leung, and Harry Lawtey.
Joker: Folie &Agrave; Deux will premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival this fall and is set for release in October 4, 2024.
