The Filipino songwriter and producer Jonathan Manalo has been officially named a voting member of the Recording Academy. This milestone was announced in August, after he was invited as part of the Academy&rsquo;s 2025 New Member Class.

In his social media announcement, the songwriter expressed how honored he felt, &nbsp;&ldquo;Becoming part of the Recording Academy 2025 New Member Class is an incredible honor,&rdquo; he shared. He added that it means joining a global community of creators and professionals who help shape the future of music and raise standards of excellence.
As a voting member, he now has a voice in the Grammy voting process. He also emphasized the importance of diversity and bringing his own perspective to the table.
He joins a group of nearly 3,600 new members selected this year, which notably includes artists like Addison Rae, Nikki Glaser, and P-pop group KATSEYE.
This recognition marks another highlight in the career of the music creative director, known for shaping the Filipino music landscape for over two decades.
