In the Hangover episode on January 29, Gracenote addressed one of the harshest comments they’ve received: “Wala kang inaabangan na kanta ng Gracenote—kasi puro covers ang naaalala.”

The band fired back, “Sigurado, 'yun lang 'yung pinakikinggan niya,” said Gracenote. “'Yung ganiyang comment kasi alam mong hindi nakikinig ng Gracenote, eh. We’ve released six albums this year, so 'di ko na alam paano nila nasasabi 'yun. Masasabi ko lang, you listen to our songs.”

Shai added that Gracenote is still a “10/10” despite such criticism. “Feeling ko it’s because of ‘When I Dream About You,’ pero kasi naman we use that as our advantage. Actually, 'yun nga lang yung cover, eh,” the vocalist added.
