This new system, brought to you by AF Payments Inc. and Mastercard, lets you use prepaid, debit, or credit cards for your fares on the MRT-3 and select bus routes, like those along EDSA and Bonifacio Global City.

Simon Calasanz, Mastercard's Country Manager for the Philippines, says this will make commuting smoother. While the technology is not yet operational, the rollout dates will be announced in the coming months. Once implemented, this groundbreaking service will mark a significant milestone as debit and credit cards are integrated into the Philippine public transportation system for the first time.
