Offshore Music is giving fans another opportunity to own the Eraserheads' landmark debut album on vinyl with the launch of pre-orders for the white vinyl repress of ‘Ultraelectromagneticpop! The 25th Anniversary Edition’. Pre-orders run until August 1 and include optional merchandise bundles.
Manufactured by Diggers Factory in France and mastered by veteran engineer Bernie Grundman, the release is designed to offer high-quality audio while making the anniversary edition available to more listeners. The first pressing, limited to 2,500 copies, sold out quickly and later became a sought-after collector's item.
According to Offshore Music general manager Audry Dionisio, the label decided to produce another run after seeing many fans unable to purchase the original release because of limited supply and soaring resale prices.
"This time around, we wanted to give everybody a chance to own the album at a more affordable price," Dionisio said, adding that the repress also marks Offshore Music's 10th anniversary celebration.
Released in 1993, ‘Ultraelectromagneticpop!’ launched the Eraserheads into the spotlight with enduring hits such as "Ligaya," "Toyang," and "Pare Ko." More than three decades later, the album has sold over 300,000 copies and holds a six-times Platinum certification from the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry (PARI), underscoring its lasting impact on Filipino music.
The premium white vinyl edition offers both collectors and newer fans another chance to add one of OPM's most influential albums to their collection without relying on the high-priced secondary market.
