‘Tadhana’ was part of Up Dharma Down’s third album, ‘Capacities.’ The song was also used in the TV series ‘Ilumina’ and later became the theme of the 2014 film ‘That Thing Called Tadhana.’ Over the years, it has been covered by many artists and remains one of the most loved OPM songs.
‘Multo’ is the lead single from Cup of Joe’s debut album, ‘Silakbo,’ released in January 2025. The track won Song of the Year at the Filipino Music Awards, while ‘Silakbo’ took home Album of the Year. It was also featured in the series ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ and in the romance film ‘The Loved One,’ where a stripped-down version of the song was used. Both ‘Multo’ and ‘Tadhana’ are now under Viva after its 2022 acquisition of Terno Recordings.

Cup of Joe’s breakout hit ‘Multo’ now No. 1 on Spotify Philippines
The milestones keep coming for Cup of Joe as their hit song ‘Multo’ becomes the most-streamed OPM track on Spotify. As of writing, the song has reached 513 million streams on the platform. This makes it the most-streamed Filipino song ever on Spotify.
The previous record holder was ‘Tadhana’ by Up Dharma Down, which now has slightly fewer than 513 million streams. ‘Tadhana’ only crossed the 500 million mark last month, more than a decade after its release in 2012. In comparison, ‘Multo,’ released in September 2024, reached the same numbers in a much shorter time. Another strong contender is ‘Isa Lang’ by Arthur Nery, which currently has 444 million streams.
