Chito Miranda, the frontman of Parokya ni Edgar, announced to stop being a coach on "The Voice Kids" to focus on his band. Known for his role as a mentor on ABS-CBN's "Idol Philippines" and "The Voice Generations" on GMA, Chito shared his decision through a social media post.

The vocalist expressed his enjoyment being a coach and valued the friendships he made with fellow coaches. However, the demands of his on-screen commitments “took too much time away from his band."

He also stressed the importance of his band and their shared livelihood. "I could continue doing TV shows and make money for myself and my family, or I could prioritize our gigs instead, and make enough money for everyone on our team, including their families, but it's not just about the money," he added.

For Miranda, playing gigs with his band is “more than just a job.” He highlighted the freedom they have with their schedule as a band, which allows him more time with his family and bandmates. "Right now, nasa point ako ng buhay ko na mas trip ko na tumambay lang kasama ng pamilya ko, at tumugtog kasama ng mga kabanda ko." Chito concluded.

Chito’s return to focus on Parokya ni Edgar promises more music and performances from the band that has been a key part of the Filipino music scene for nearly three decades.

Now, what could be in store for Parokya ni Edgar this year and next? 🤔
