When asked, “Looking back sa journey mo, from competitions to collaborations, ang dami mo nang napagdaanan. Is there a decision or opportunity na feeling mo, kung iba yung naging choice mo, baka iba na ‘yung landas mo ngayon?”
Bugoy shared, “Pipiliin ko pa rin kung nasa’an ako ngayon. I just love to sing.” He said he feels most at ease when performing and believes it’s where he truly excels. He also mentioned that if he wasn’t a singer, he might have worked abroad to support his family. “I’m so blessed and grateful na binigay ni God sa’kin ‘to!” he added, saying he believes he was given a greater purpose in his current path.
In another question, “Pitong taon ang lumipas bago ka ulit naglabas ng album… Bilang isang veteran, naramdaman mo ba na napag-iwanan ka na?”
He admitted, “Normal naman siguro na ma-feel ‘yung gano’n.” Still, he shared that those seven years gave him valuable experience to create better music. His goal now is to combine his old soul style with a newer sound.
When asked about being called underrated, “May fans na nagsasabi na you’re one of the most underrated vocalists in your generation…”
Bugoy responded, “It’s a good thing to be underrated.” For him, it means people still see his potential. He emphasized that numbers don’t matter as much as giving his best and that simply being recognized and appreciated by listeners is already a blessing.
This man truly deserves more. On and off cam, he is fun and kind. Let’s all stream his album 'Anthems,' Fam!
