<p>Ivors Academy announced on Tuesday (March 26) the recognition of Springsteen's contribution to the art of songwriting and his influence on British culture.</p>
<p>The awarding body&rsquo;s chair Tom Gray emphasized Springsteen's lasting impact on the music scene, stating, &ldquo;<em>Songwriters are powerful storytellers, who capture our lives, loves, and hardships.</em>&rdquo; Gray added, "<em>Bruce has always told the greatest stories.</em>"</p>
<p>In response to the announcement, Springsteen expressed his gratitude, <em>"I am proud to be the first international songwriter to be recognized by The Ivors Academy.</em>" The &ldquo;Born In The U.S.A.&rdquo; artist also said, "<em>This entire country has made me feel welcome every step of the way, and for this, I will always remain deeply appreciative.</em>"</p>
<p>The Ivors Fellowship is the highest honor bestowed by the academy, reserved for individuals who have made a mark in the music industry through their talent and creativity. Joining Springsteen are personalities such as Elton John, Sting, and Paul McCartney, to name a few.</p>

<p>The <strong>Ivors Academy</strong>, named after the legendary Welsh composer Ivor Novello, has been honoring excellence in songwriting since 1956. As it prepares to unveil its list of nominees for this year's awards, anticipation is building for the ceremony on May 23, where Springsteen will be celebrated alongside fellow artists in the industry.</p>
