P-pop sensation BINI has officially been named one of the newest ambassadors of the Department of Tourism (DOT), further cementing the group’s influence beyond the music scene. The announcement was made on Friday, July 3, during a courtesy visit to the DOT Central Office in Makati City, where Tourism Secretary Maria Bernardita “Dita” Angara-Mathay formally welcomed the eight-member girl group.

Composed of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena, BINI met with the tourism chief to discuss the partnership and exchange initial ideas for future campaigns. The DOT is expected to finalize the details ahead of the official signing.

The agency described BINI as an ideal partner for its “Discover More to Love” campaign, noting that each member proudly represents her hometown or province and reflects the country’s rich cultural diversity. Assistant Secretary Ren Sapitan also emphasized that the group has long been promoting Philippine tourism through their music, performances, and fashion, particularly by showcasing Filipino-inspired outfits.

BINI’s chart-topping hits have also played a role in highlighting the country’s natural beauty. Their viral single “Pantropiko” has become a favorite soundtrack for social media videos featuring the Philippines’ beaches, mountains, islands, and other scenic destinations.

The DOT also expressed its intention to collaborate with other globally recognized Filipino talents, including P-pop group SB19 and tennis star Alex Eala. With BINI leading the campaign, the agency hopes to inspire more local and international travelers to discover the beauty and culture of the Philippines.
