Nation's girl group BINI has made history as the first Filipino act and the first non-Korean act from Asia nominated for Favorite Global Music Star at the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
The eight-member girl group will compete against international artists, such as Taylor Swift, Zara Larsson, Tyla, Olivia Dean, Tame Impala, and Karol G.
BINI's nomination is a first for Filipino music, especially as previous Asian representatives in the category included K-pop groups BIGBANG, BTS, BLACKPINK, and Stray Kids.
The recognition comes amid the group's growing international presence. In April, BINI performed at Coachella, becoming the first P-Pop girl group to appear at the festival. The group also took the stage at Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka in August.
Meanwhile, BINI continues to gain recognition locally, recently winning Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year at the Filipino Music Awards 2026. They are also set to perform at LaLaLa Fest Manila on January 14, 2027, alongside British singer Olivia Dean.
Fans can vote for BINI through the official Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards website.
