After years away from performing together as a complete band, iconic OPM alternative rock group Barbie’s Cradle is making a long-awaited return to the stage with a special reunion concert on August 1, 2026, at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.
Dubbed ‘Barbie’s Cradle: One Night Only’ the event will reunite original members Barbie Almalbis, Wendell Garcia, Rommel dela Cruz, and Kakoy Legaspi for an evening celebrating the band’s enduring musical legacy. Fans can look forward to a setlist featuring chart-topping hits, well-loved album tracks, and brand-new songs that mark the group’s return to the local music scene.
The comeback also includes the release of three new tracks, offering listeners fresh material from a band that helped shape Philippine alternative rock during the late 1990s and early 2000s. According to drummer Wendell Garcia, some of the upcoming songs were written years ago but remained unfinished due to the members’ individual commitments.
Known for acclaimed albums such as ‘Barbie’s Cradle’, ‘Music from the Buffet Table’, and ‘Playing in the Fields’, the band earned recognition through several prestigious awards, including honors from the Awit Awards, NU Rock Awards, and KATHA Awards.
Presented by GNN Entertainment Productions, the one-night concert promises a nostalgic yet forward-looking experience as Barbie’s Cradle reconnects with longtime supporters while introducing a new chapter in their musical journey.
