Ariana Grande will be taking a break from the spotlight after wrapping up her Eternal Sunshine tour in London on September 1.
A representative for the Grammy-winning pop star confirmed the decision in a statement to People, saying she wants to end the tour on a positive note before stepping away from public appearances.
According to the statement, the singer plans to focus on her health and well-being after months of constant public attention and online scrutiny.
Because of this, the Wicked star has also decided not to join the West End production of Sunday in the Park with George, where she was previously announced to star alongside Jonathan Bailey.
In recent weeks, fans have shared concerns about the pop icon's health after the release of the music video for her song Petal, with many commenting on her appearance online.
The singer released her eighth studio album, Petal, on July 31. The record features the single Hate That I Made You Love Me.
Before returning with new music, Ariana spent time working on the Wicked films as Glinda. She previously assured fans that acting did not mean she was leaving her music career behind.
Despite her upcoming break, the award-winning artist is still set to appear in the upcoming film Focker-in-Law, which is scheduled to premiere this November.
