<p>The 97th Academy Awards, more popularly known as The Oscars, has just proclaimed the best films of the year. Sean Baker&rsquo;s <em>Anora </em>bagged the most awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Film Editing, and Best Original Screenplay. Besides the awarding ceremony, fans also looked forward to the performances given by the biggest names in the industry.</p>

<p>The 2025 Oscars kicked off with a medley from the musical film <em>Wicked</em>, featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Ariana sang her rendition of <em>Somewhere Over the Rainbow</em>, while Erivo followed with <em>Home </em>from <em>The Wiz</em>. The two of them shared a performance of <em>Defying Gravity</em>. Meanwhile, in a heartfelt homage to the late Quincy Jones, Queen Latifah took the stage to sing <em>Ease on Down the Road</em> from <em>The Wiz</em>.&nbsp;</p>
<p>To end the night, there was also a tribute to the James Bond movie franchise. Doja Cat, BLACKPINK LISA, and Raye put a spin on classic Bond themes, giving a nod to the movies&rsquo; long-time producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.</p>
