Araneta City to launch its first Seafood Festival
August 23, 2026

Seafood lovers have more reasons to visit Araneta City this August as the area launches its first-ever Seafood Festival, a month-long celebration featuring food, drinks, movies, and special dining experiences.

Throughout the month, restaurants and food outlets around Araneta City will offer seafood dishes, special deals, and other activities. The festival also aims to highlight the importance of responsible seafood sourcing, sustainability, food security, and protecting Filipino food traditions.

One of the festival's highlights is Sea-nema: A Reel Catch at Gateway Cineplex 18, which started on August 17. The film lineup includes Food Delivery: Straight from the West Philippine Sea and the award-winning animated film Flow. Meanwhile, guests looking for a more special dining experience can enjoy the Omakase Wine Dinner at World Cellar in World Kitchens on August 20, featuring a tasting menu prepared by Japanese chef Masaki Watanabe.

Hotels in Araneta City are also joining the celebration. Le Bistro at ibis Styles Manila began serving its A Fin-Tastic Feast on August 5, featuring responsibly sourced seafood paired with Dilmah tea. On August 29, Food Exchange Manila and Gourmet Bar at Novotel Manila will serve the Plates for the Planet Feast, another dining experience focused on responsibly sourced seafood.

For those who prefer something more casual, Pizza Hut's Shrimp Supreme Pizza is available exclusively at its Araneta City branches starting August 4. The Hunt the SEA-ty campaign also gives diners a chance to discover seafood dishes, discounts, and promotions from participating restaurants and food outlets throughout August.

The festival also highlights the seafood community, from markets to restaurants. Farmers Market remains one of the key places to explore fresh seafood, while Seafood 8 by Olio's at Gateway Mall 2 offers another option for seafood fans.

According to Araneta City Vice President for Marketing Marjorie Go, the festival is not only about enjoying good food but also about starting conversations on sustainability, food security, and the value of Filipino culinary traditions.

The Seafood Festival is the first in a planned series of month-long celebrations by Araneta City. Each festival will focus on a different interest, industry, or community, giving visitors new experiences to enjoy throughout the year.
