Moira Dela Torre wound up with another heart-wrenching song about being left behind, with help from OPM President Ogie Alcasid.
In a Facebook post on September 20, the “Kumpas” singer acknowledged Alcasid as she showed how she completed the new song,
“finished another song at the alcasids last night w the help of my tito @ogiealcasid who humbly asked me “may i?” and played the piano for me 🥺,” Dela Torre wrote, referring to Alcasid’s home with his wife, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
She continued, “what a dreaaam. lysm tito ogieeee.❤️🔥” She then thanked her “Idol Philippines” co-judge Chito Miranda and his wife Neri Naig, who were also present at the Alcasid home, for their encouragement as they worked on the song.
Dela Torre can be seen playing the piano by herself at first, until she is joined by Alcasid, who takes over the instrument to assist her.
As of this writing, Dela Torre has yet to reveal the title of the new song or whether a studio recording will be released.
Earlier this year, the singer-songwriter made headlines after ending her three-year marriage to husband Jason Marvin Hernandez, who admitted to being unfaithful.
Months after their breakup, Hernandez released a song about regret entitled, “Ako Na Lang” which many believe is about his split with Dela Torre. Meanwhile, Dela Torre has denied that her song “Babalik sa ‘Yo” marks her reconciliation with Hernandez. She asserted that it is just a song and that fans shouldn’t be “marupok.”
