SHE’S “BACK FROM THE DEAD” – but not in the way we all expected!

After a long moment of hiatus, the worldwide-acclaimed TikTok hit “Play Date” singer Melanie Martinez debuted a new era at Lollapalooza in Argentina last Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The 27-year-old vocalist performed in extraterrestrial or supernatural-inspired prosthetics that covered her entire face; here she is seen with elongated ears, four eyes, green hair, and pink-colored skin.

Netizens praised Martinez’s new alter ego and how this led her to go back to the stage — truly, an “artist.”

The eccentric visuals and performances acclaimed praise from viewers:

More so, Melanie teased her forthcoming release “Portals” a month ago through a TikTok video that shows her character being reborn from an egg:

The performer quoted, “Portals screams death is life is death is life. A continuous loop. A circle.

To further kickstart the upcoming album, she came “back from the dead” with the single “Death:”

“Portals” is her first full-length release in nearly four years, and is set for release on March 31, 2023.

Melanie Martinez is a 27-year-old singer-songwriter born in New York City, USA. Currently signed under Atlantic Records, she is recognized as the 2017 Female Artist of the Year, Alternative/ Indie Recording & Album of the Year, by Music Society Awards. More so, she is best known for singles “Play Date,” “Pity Party,” and “Dollhouse” – to name a few.
