I’m so glad to see our Filipino fans for the first time. It’s such a cool experience.” – Jake of ENHYPEN

And after only two years in the industry, the Filipino ENGENE community is boosting further!

ENGENEs, ENHYPEN’s official fans, traveled from all over the Philippines and even from other nations to attend the BYS Philippines-initiated ENHYPEN Fun Meet. In honor of the cosmetics company’s tenth anniversary in the beauty industry, the South Korean boy band went to their Fun Meet in Manila on Saturday, December 3, at the Araneta Coliseum.

On October 10, shortly after ENHYPEN gets introduced as brand ambassadors, the said meet was announced as a part of the “You Be You” campaign.

The moment the seven-piece collective took the stage – they were given a warm welcome by their Filipino fans. Given it was their first visit, they expressed their surprise over the outpouring of support from the locals. More so, during the opening segment – the members were individually quizzed through a fan-submitted query.

Of course, both the boys and ENGENEs did not fall short of their interaction with one another. They engaged through laughs, learning Filipino words, messages, birthday greetings (for Sunghoon and Ni-Ki), and fun games throughout the meet.

The boys even sang a part of their viral track, “Polaroid Love.”

“The best part of being an artist is seeing and performing for all the fans. It’s something we cherish,” the collective said. They added, “(But) we still hope to have more chances to meet our Filipino ENGENEs in 2023.”

Filipino ENGENEs also paid tribute by creating a fan film.

Sunghoon expressed regret for not noticing how much their PH fanbase appreciates them. The fan devotion also left Jay, in his own words, “speechless.”

He quoted, “You guys are awesome, Manila.” After being showered with fan love more than expected, ENHYPEN leader Jungwon will reciprocate the love and support through even better performances in the future.

The boys wrapped the evening up with a performance of “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC).”

The collective promised to return to the Philippines next year for their scheduled MANIFESTO WORLD TOUR at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on February 4 and 5, 2023.

ENHYPEN, a South Korea-based boy group, comprises Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki. They started with winning the 2020 survival competition show “I-Land,” which debuted on November 30 of the same year. They are known for their songs “Polaroid Love,” “FEVER,” “Drunk-Dazed,” and more. The band name is derived from the word “hyphen;” about the connection to their fans across the globe. As they said, “to come together to connect, discover, and grow together.”
