Alanis Morissette is finally coming to Manila for a special one-night concert in celebration of Jagged Little Pill’s 28th anniversary — her most famous and iconic album.
According to Ovation Productions, the final date has been set for August 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. It can be recalled that this was originally planned for two nights in April 2020, but were pushed back to December 2021 and November 2022 before being canceled.
Tickets range in price from ₱2,750 to ₱14,750. These will be available for purchase beginning March 29 at smtickets.com. Meanwhile, the seating chart has yet to be released.
In addition to this, tickets for the 2020 shows will not be honored. Fans must return these tickets and buy new ones.
In August 2021, the Canadian-American singer-songwriter kicked off her sold out world tour. This became the #1 female-fronted tour from 2021 and one of the Top Worldwide Tours of 2021 selling over 500,000 tickets.
Furthermore, the album ‘Jagged Little Pill’ is best known for its raw, angsty lyrics. It includes the songs ‘Ironic,’ ‘You Oughta Know,’ and ‘Hand in My Pocket.’
Released in 1995, it won five Grammy Awards including Album of the Year, making then 21-year-old Morissette the youngest artist to win the top honor up to that point. In 2019, a Broadway musical based on the album’s songs premiered which won two Tony Awards.
