  • We all know that Mother’s Day is a special occasion that gives us an opportunity to honor and appreciate the amazing women who have played significant role in our lives. Now, this Mother’s Day, it would be the perfect time to show our love and gratitude by treating them! So, if you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate your mom’s special day, why not treat her to a delicious Filipino feast? 

    Here are some Filipino food dishes that you can cook to your mom and make the Mother’s Day celebration extra special: 

    Adobo – No one can beat this! This classic Filipino dish is made with chicken that is marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, laurel and other spices. The meat is then simmered until it is tender and flavorful. You can also use pork as a substitute. This dish is loved by many Filipinos and is perfect for Mother’s Day. 

    Lumpiang Ubod – These are fresh Filipino spring rolls made extra special with sautéed palm heart filling, homemade crepe wrappers, and a tasty garlic-peanut sauce. They’re hearty and delicious as a midday snack or main dish. 

    Pancit Palabok– This is a noodle dish that is made with rice noodles topped with shrimp gravy, shrimp, smoked fish flakes, pork cracklings, and eggs. Hearty and savory, it’s perfect as a light meal and snack for your family. 


    Carbonara – This one is the easiest! It is a good dish that you can prepare for Mother’s Day for many reasons. It is rich, creamy, and delicious. It is also quick and easy to cook too. It will only take you 30 minutes to prep and cook this dish!  

    Lechon Manok – This is just basically a whole chicken that is roasted along with essential ingredients to add flavor such as garlic, onions, fish sauce, soy sauce, calamansi juice, sugar and some common seasonings like salt and pepper.
