Sweet potatoes are filled with nutrients like Vitamin C and Potassium which are essential for stress response. This is also a nutrient-rich carb source that helps to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol which is why this makes an excellent carb choice.

Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable that is recognized for its significant health benefits. Including similar vegetables in your meals may lower risk of certain cancers, heart disease, and mental health disorders like depression.

    Is stress-eating okay?

While it may be tempting to eat your way out of stress, you must take into account that this only brings temporary comfort and can really be unhealthy in the long-run. Guilt, nausea, and weight-related health problems could arise if it becomes a habit. Instead of increasing your food intake, choose the proper and helpful food. Or better yet, find more fulfilling and healthier ways to feed your feelings.
