If you ever heard of their single “Selos” playing on the radio and ever thought of it having a sophisticated sound, great news because that new song with a new vibe is from The Vowels They Orbit.
They began in University of Santo Tomas and after bonding over multiple jamming sessions in Cavite a band was formed.
They are composed of Nikka Melchor (vocals and rhythm guitar), Hannah Dela Cruz (keyboards and vocals), Jeremy Sayas (drums and vocals), Gene Santiago (lead guitars) and Patch Javier (bass guitars)
They first had their break after Soupstar Entertainment’s Darwin Hernandez heard their demos upon the recommendation of his brother Herbert Hernandez.
They gained tractions after they performed at 7-Eleven Rock Back to School: Build Your Own Concert Tour. They performed as front act for bands such as Autotelic, Gracenote, and December Avenue, and as well as one of the guest acts for American pop-rock sensation, Against The Current’s concert in the Philippines.
Currently they are signed under Sony Music Entertainment. They are set to release a 5-track EP this year including their single “Selos.”
