The search is on for the Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2021!

The Manila Broadcasting Company has now launched the second edition of Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen.
This online pageant is distinct from the Reyna ng Aliwan. The annual festivities will remain on hold due to certain restrictions against the spread of COVID-19. MBC promised that the search for Aliwan’s Festival Queen will remain part of the mammoth cultural spectacle dubbed as the Philippines’ grandest fiesta—the Aliwan Fiesta.
MBC also described 2021 Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen as venue where hopes and dreams of beauteous and talented Filipinas remain alive, “catapulting them into the spotlight, and enabling them to further inspire and influence today’s youth by harnessing the power of digital media to serve as exemplary models in the community.”
Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen is open to aspirants 16-28 years old, single, with pleasing personality, must have been born biologically female, and currently holding Filipino citizenship. Aspirants should be well-versed into their cultures, customs, and traditions in the region. Aspirants must also be able to demonstrate a unique talent to a high degree of excellence, either in the visual or performing arts, craft or design, athletics, or culinary expertise. An aspirant should be a natural beauty, armed with poise and confidence, and able to express herself well, either in English or Filipino.
To join, aspirants should download, fill up a registration form from the official Facebook page of Aliwan Fiesta. It will be submitted through electronic mail to a designed lead station in her region. Attachments include a barangay certification, and a three-minute audition video. The video should contain the candidate’s introduction about herself, her place, her advocacy or cause, and provides a glimpse of what she looks like in casual and formal wear, as well as her talent or special skills. Applications should be submitted on or before August 13, 2021.
Offline selection will be done by MBC carrier stations based on the criteria for judging. After deliberation, chosen entries will be forwarded to the MBC head office secretariat. Twelve (12) finalists will be selected afterwards—four candidates each from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Finalists will be formally announced on August 27, 2021.
The Final 12 will compete on weekly segments namely the Pride of Place, the Talent and Skills competition, Queens for a Cause, and the Evening Gown Competition coupled with the Question-and Answer portion. An online poll for Netizens’ Choice will also be conducted through a voting platform on the DZRH website.
The 2021 Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen will receive PhP 50,000; first runner up, PhP 25,000, and second runner-up, PhP 15,000. The corresponding amounts will be given to the first three winners to be given to their chosen charitable program in their respective municipalities. Other finalists will receive PhP 10,000 each as consolation prize.
All segments, including the coronation night on October 9, will be aired over DZRH News Television, and will be premiered on all social media platforms of MBC stations—DZRH, Love Radio, Yes The Best, Easy Rock, Aksyon Radyo, and Radyo Natin.
