MBC names Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2022 Top 12 Finalists

  • Manila Broadcasting Company is once again in search of its next Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen!

    This year, over thirty pageant hopefuls have submitted their application — all culturally well-versed, uniquely talented, and naturally beautiful.

    On Wednesday, September 14, the organization has officially announced the Top 12 Finalists who will embark on a quest towards the crown and the title.

    Ladies and gentlemen, one of them will be the next Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen:

    1. Sophia Noreen Guillermo, Ilocos Sur

    Sophia is an 18-year-old student of Dingras National High School. She backs the Women in Development program of Dingras which focuses on empowerment through awareness, information, and healthcare services.

    2. Nadine Faith McCoy, Cebu City

    Coy is a karatedo who also plays the guitar, loves to sing, and to cook. The 16-year-old is an avowed supporter of LGBT rights, she has chosen the Love Yourself Organization as her favorite charity.

    3. Dana Gabrielle Tautho, Davao City

    At 24 years old, Gabby is a licensed geologist who holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and is currently taking up her PhD in Development Studies. She is an environmental consultant for Ridge to Reef, and supports the Matigsalug Tribe’s Council of Elders in Marilog District, extending assistance to their farming community. 

    4.  Kristell Candice Pagdagdagan, Guinobatan, Albay

    As a senior high school student at the Marcial Ranola Memorial School, KC loves creative writing, literature, and cycling. She counts leadership skills among her strengths, and heads the Guinobatan Children’ Organization at 18 years old.

    5. Jeaven Iyl Musni, Bacolod City

    This 20-year-old is a senior high school graduate of John B. Colleges Foundation. A folk dance and pottery enthusiast, she is a champion of food waste management assisting a social enterprise called SAGUP Negros: Food Waste Mitigation Intitiative. 

    6. Jackelaine Adarayan Fleming, Cebu City

    Jackie is 21 years old and majors Psychology at Fort Lewis College. She is also a skin ambassadress who helps out the Ngiti Foundation for Children’s Needs.

    7. Martina Mikael De La Rama, Buenavista, Agusan Del Norte

    Tina is an 18-year-old student of Butuan Doctors College. Hailing from a place rich with fishes, her heart goes out to Kalanggaman and Tangke Fisherfolk Association.

    8. Marikit Manaois, Baguio City

    Kit holds a degree in Human Resource Development from St. Louis University and works as a Secretary of a solid waste management company. The 25-year-old counts singing and theater acting among her special talents.

    9. Maica Cabling Martinez, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija

    At 28 years old, Maica serves as a government employee with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication and a Master’s Degree in Anthropology in progress. She remains active in youth engagement, particularly espousing projects on food sustainability and uplifting Nueva Ecija’s farming community.  

    10. Thañamae Cahilig, Labangon, Cebu City

    While Anya is just 18 years old, she loves 1950s jazz and plays the electric guitar. She is a 12th grader under the ABM Marketing strand at University of San Jose Recoletos. She is adamant about helping cybersex trafficking victims.

    11. Nikki Shannen Ortega, Davao City

    Nikay is a strong advocate against bullying at 20 years old. Being an outspoken vanguard of indigenous rights, she has selected the Tribal Mission Foundation International office in Davao for her charitable program.

    12. Kassandra Avena, Caramoan, Camarines Sur

    This 16-year-old is already a head trainer at her mother’s modeling center. At the same time, she is a student of Naga City Science High School who is fond of reading, dancing, and playing musical instruments. She has picked out two community-based Bikolnon groups as her beneficiaries.

    A three-episode pageant primer entitled, “Journey to the Crown” will run on September 17, 24, and October 1 to take us through the finalists’ causes and preparations.

    Representing their hometowns, they will then compete in different segments of the competition including Launch and Pride of Place on October 8, Talent and Skills Competition on October 15, Queens for a Cause on October 22, Evening Gown and Q & A on October 29. Meanwhile, awarding and coronation will take place on November 5, 2022.
