July 27, 2020

Manila Broadcasting Company has launched its first ever digital pageant – Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen.

Due to lockdown policies made by the national government in March 2020, the “Mother of all Festivals,” Aliwan Fiesta was cancelled. But MBC is determined to continue what was hampered, that’s why, even not personally present, aspirants can still compete online and utilize the realms of digital.

To join the online pageant, aspiring candidates must be 16 to 28 years old, born biologically female, having a pleasing personality, knowledgeable of the culture, customs, and traditions of the place she represents. Registration forms, the full mechanics, terms and conditions, and a sample audition video are all available in Aliwan Fiesta’s official Facebook page.

29 candidates will be chosen one from each designated lead station. The final nine candidates, three each from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao will then be selected by the MBC executive committee.

The pageant will be composed of four weekly segments, Launch and Pride of Place, Talent Competition, Modelling Competition and Q&A that will take place on September, while the Coronation night will be held on October.

The top three winners will win P100,000, P50,000, and P30,000 respectively. Fifty percent of their winnings will go to their chosen charitable program. Aside from crowning the first Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen, special awards will be awarded as well.

All shows will be aired over DZRH News Television and all social media platforms of MBC: DZRH, Love Radio, Yes The Best, Easy Rock, Aksyon Radyo, and Radyo Natin.
