AFDQ 2020 First Runner-up Jasmine Omay tries Tarlac’s known Lechon Manok and Barbecue!

May 14, 2021

  • Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 first runner-up Jasmine Omay is back to virtually take us to one of Tarlac’s known local restaurant.

During last year’s Pride of Place competition, Jasmine gave us a glimpse of one of Tarlac’s local pride, Betty’s Special Native Cakes which is popular for its “Kapit Roll.” But this time, she brought us to another locals’ favorite, Victor’s Lechon Manok and Barbecue.

Before trying Victor’s specialties, Jasmine was able to chat with the owner, Ma’am Gladys. She shared how the restaurant started saying that it only started as a push cart business until it grew and became what it is now. When the Tarlaqueña beauty asked what makes Victor’s menu stand out, Gladys said that their way of cooking and secret recipe apart them from other ihawans. Aside from her, Jasmine talked to Kuya Mark, one of the staff of Victor’s and he shared some of the restaurant’s top seller.

Jasmine tried Victor’s specialties, Sisig and of course, their famous Lechon Manok. Aside from eating, she also tried roasting and preparing their specialties. What an experience, right?

Aside from the Tarlac City branch, Victor’s Lechon Manok and Barbecue can also be found in different parts of Central and Northern Luzon namely in Dau (Mabalacat, Pampanga), Moncada (Tarlac), Dagupan and Urdaneta (Pangasinan).

So, if you find yourself in the middle of a trip and happened to pass by Tarlac City, just remember where Jasmine Omay invited you to eat!
