RELATIONSHIP AND SEX
4 Kinds of friends that you need to cut off from your life
March 22, 2019
People come and go in our lives. Sometimes they come or go because things just simply happen. We are unconscious that they are coming. Some relationships will work out, some will not. And that’s the way it is.
However, when we grow up and learn about self-love, we also get to learn that there are some people, or let’s say, friends who are not healthy to be with anymore. There are a lot of reasons why we cut people off. But most of the time we do it for ourselves.
Breakups can really happen even in friendships. When it’s time, you just say it like Ari did… thank u, next!
Cut off friends who are…
1. JUST THERE WHEN THEY WANT IT
Or maybe when things are comfortable for them. This is the kind of friend that you don’t feel any security with. Like, when life is messing up with you, you are unsure if you can count on them. They are not worth it.
2. MAKING YOU FEEL LESS
Sometimes we joke on each other’s flaws. Are you even friends if you can’t joke about them? However, sometimes over-familiarity can already hurt and destroy self-esteem. We are sometimes unaware that these jokes are toxins already to our friends and it damages them.
If you feel like you’re getting more insecure, then maybe it’s time to cut off. If you’re continuously discouraged with the people you’re surrounded with, it’s okay to choose yourself. On the other hand, you should also be aware that your confidence should never come or be dependent on other people. It’s your mindset. And if you think that being surrounded with people who are making you feel less do not really help you, then stay away from them.
3. NOT RESPECTING YOUR BELIEF AND VALUES
Just because you have different values doesn’t mean one of you is wrong. Relationships work well with the right amount of respect. If your friends are mocking you and they do not respect your beliefs and values, then it’s okay to cut them off. The more you surround yourself with this kind of people, the more it will stress you.
4. CAN’T PROTECT YOU WHEN YOU’RE NOT AROUND
Because they are not really your friends. If they do not speak when people talk behind your back, then they are playing safe. Friends don’t do that. Friends protect each other, because if your relationship is true then you know the truth and you’ll let others know about it. Cut off from people who are only good to you when you’re together.
