James Ingram dies at 66

    Grammy Awards winner and R&B singer James Ingram has died at the age of 66 according to Billboard.

    Ingram’s passing was shared via Twitter by his friend and creative partner Debbie Allen last Tuesday. No further details about the musician’s death yet. The tweet goes, “I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir. He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name.”

    During his career, Ingram has already collected two Grammys during his career. He was able to produce some of the greatest hits like “Just Once,” “Yah Mo B There” which won best R&B Performance by a duo or group with vocals in 1984.Aside from the greatest hits he was able to produced, he also got nominated for back-to-back best original song Oscars in 1993 and 1994. He got a total of nine hits on the Hot 100 including a pair of No. 1s: “Baby Come to Me” and “I Don’t Have a Heart.”
