Oh well, people call me Cha or Charm, whatever they prefer. I’m a fresh graduate of Far Eastern University. I took up AB Mass Communication because I want to be a part of any production. But seriously, my dream is to be an executive producer (or a CEO of a network! Haha!)

Give a word that perfectly describes who you are.
SIMPLE. I don’t complicate things. I love dressing up because it’s nice to look good but the truth is, I just want to be simple. When I’m with my friends, believe me, I’m the simplest among them. They’re all pretty like that and I was like, “Oh hi, do I really belong to your group?” Haha! But like me, they’re also nice people.

What are your hobbies?
I love watching movies and series. My favorite ones are Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory and Gossip Girl. I also watch beauty and fashion vlogs on YT.

Has anyone told you that you have this “chinita” feature?
YEAH! Seriously, I don’t know why do I have these small eyes. My parents are not “chinita or chinito”. As well as my brothers and sister. So, what am I? Haha. I hate it when we have to take pictures with a camera flash because my eyes will be like two horizontal lines. So I take the flash off. And then during the photo shoots, I can’t smile because my eyes are small like that. But whenever people compliment me, they will start with my eyes. They like it. And I started loving these [eyes].

Give a song that you can “deeply” relate whenever you hear it on the radio.

Why “If You Can Afford Me”?
It’s not really a deep sentimental song but it explains everything about me. It’s like, “if you want me, it takes more than a wink, more than a drink, more than you think, if you want me, you gonna have to break the bank tonight.” Every word in the song describes me and who do I prefer. And I really love Katy Perry!

Who are the people you look up to?
Aside from my father, who is a TV director, I want to be like my favorite TV reporter, Ms. Sherrie Ann Torres. She is a very intelligent and strong woman. She taught me how to work in the field, because she became my professor, she gave me pieces of advice and she encourages me to work in her field.

Do you have any reservations that you think can possibly hinder you from being successful?
I think being a fragile person hinders my dream. I don’t want to be labeled as a weak one. It’s just that I don’t know how to be strong and dominant. Being fragile reflects my appearance but to overcome this, I am training myself to be independent, since I’m a fresh graduate.

It’s, perhaps, given that people recognize your good looks. How about any out-of-the-box fact about yourself that most people don’t usually know?
I don’t know if they do recognize my good looks (hehe) but I think they don’t know that I’m a childish girl. I joke around, I laugh loud and I eat so much. I know it’s not obvious that I’m an “eater” because I’m skinny but if they get to know me, they’ll be surprised.

In your own opinion, what is the nitty-gritty truth on having a commitment instead of just a fling?
Because when you have this “no strings attached” relationship, even if they say, no expectations, the thing is they still do. They can be hurt when other people like another. And there is no assurance with this relationship. Unlike on having a commitment, you’re feeling are safe from being hurt, if ever you’re with the right person.

Give a quote that best describes your life as a teen.
I’m not a teen anymore, though I look one, haha but when I was a teen, “what Charmane wants, Charmane gets.” But now, I love the quote: “Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others, everyone’s different and each of us is special.”
